Please be reminded that a Town Hall - style meeting is scheduled for 6:30 PM on November 1st in the Middle/High School Library. The purpose of the meeting is for the District to present optimization and district sustainability strategies to the community and explore considerations from the people we serve.
During the Town Hall meeting that occurred on September 27th, we explored the benefits and non-benefits of building consolidation (closing a school), merging with a neighboring district, tuitioning-out certain grade levels, establishing a regional high school, and raising taxes and/or reducing expenses enough to close the gap created by the phase-out of COVID-relief funding. At the 11/1 meeting, we will continue to expand on some of these concepts and solicit feedback from the community to help establish an approach that aligns with the vision of our community.
Following the Town Hall meeting on 11/1, the MECS Sports Boosters will conduct their monthly meeting. If you are interested in supporting the athletic program, feel free to take part with the Boosters!
